Hi does anyone have any experience with buying fairings from the Chinese ebayers?

They seem very cheap I know you get what you pay for but was wondering if anyone on here had bought a set.

There's also another website https://www.motorbike-fairings.co.uk

These also seem good value but I'm unsure Confused

I have a few small bits of road rash on the front fairing and right hand side of my gsxr, not sure whether to get them repaired at a bodyshop or get a new set?

Any advice or information you've got would be great

Cheers

A guy on the Firestorm forum has a set for his Storm and he said they went on the bike great. The odd fairing bolt was slightly out by a few mm but not really anything that hindered him lining it up and the bike looks great.

Haha the werid and wonderful place of eBay,

If you look at the " sellers " feedback, and it's good, chances are you can't go wrong, make sure you look for feedback from people who have bought the same item you are looking to buy.

Also make sure their for your exact model.

Good Luck

Matt

Okay that's good to know. Was that from Ebay or the website?

My thoughts are it could cost as much to get a few bits repaired as it would to buy a new set.

A friend of mine bought a set for his VFR400 off eBay, and I must say I was really impressed by the quality.

Utter shit. I bought a set and they were useless. Parts missing, shit paint quality and very poor plastic welding.
Once fitted there was an inch difference in places so things didnt line up.

Ebay wanted me to send them back for a refund, I ended up doing a chargeback through my credit card.

Thanks

After looking again at my fairings the repairs that need doing really are very minor so and only on the front and right hand side so I'm going together them done instead of replacing

Yeah that would be the best idea.

Maybe fiberglass or something like that.

No definitely not! It was just last night I stumbled across them on ebay and got me thinking.

The thing is when I remember the scratches in my minds eye I picture them very big but they're not at all Rolling Eyes
