PostPosted: 15:13 - 28 Sep 2012    Post subject: My New Zealand Trip / Bungy Jump & Sky Jump Reply with quote

Just found some video's of my bungy jump & Skyjump in New Zealand i did a few year's back...

Bungy was Called " Nevis " it's 134 meters high
Here's a link for more infomation on what i did:
https://www.bungy.co.nz/the-nevis/the-nevis-bungy

My Bungy Video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T56GVg-aKio&feature=context-cha
Was well worth the money i payed for the bungy even though the video and memory stick with photo's on cost $120 dollers...

Skyjump was 192m High, and was brilliant, the view was amazing, it's not like a normal bungy it's suspended on wire's which guide you down and slow you down when you hit the bottom. When you watch the video you will all hear me shout " i can't" to the women, this was because she was trying to take my photo and i was not facing the right way Laughing , very hard to do while over 100m up suspended on ropes... Here's a link for more infomation on what it is:
https://www.skyjump.co.nz/

Here my video of the Skyjump:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ot0wRb3xm-k&feature=plcp

I was Lucky to go to New Zealand at such a young age, was a great experience, i went for the rugby world cup back in 2011,
shame we didnt do so well in the world cup.

If any of you would like me to do a write up about what i did i will, i have load's of fantastic picture's as i was out their for nearly a month.

Here's a picture of me at the top of the Auckland Skytower on the top level just to give you a example to what the view was like:

https://i46.tinypic.com/34z0irs.jpg

As i say if you would like me to do a write up with pictures let me know.

Thanks for looking Thumbs Up

I went on a rugby tour over there in 2009. We covered both islands for 6 matches in 20 days so there wasn't loads of time for sightseeing.

There was chance to do a bungy in Queenstown but I wimped out and went skiing instead. Laughing

- Yeah covered both islands top to bottom of every island, the ferry ride across was great & very picturest, i covered both islands in 1 month however that did come at a cost, i was so sleepy due to a RIDCULOUS amount of traveling through early hours in morning to late night hours.
i also stopped at " many " places of intrest along the way.

- Nah you will be fine, a couple of people wimped on the sky tower, but the bungy everyone get's the buzz and just want's to do it as soon as they see it being done.

Just jump is the best way, you won't regret it Laughing

Hopefully next year when i do route 66 in the USA i shall be doing a vegas bungy & skyjump in the middle of vegas Mr. Green

Then later in the year i will be doing a day trip to macua and doing the world's biggest bungy jump Mr. Green

Far cheaper to switch allegiance to the boks bru. Mr. Green

You know we rule, even with affirmative action teams, but just let the All Blacks and Aussies have a day in the sun to keep things competitive Mr. Green

well have to give a hand to the poms for exporting a sport (rugby), to their enemies (afrikaners), their convicts (aussies), and their sheep shaggers (kiwis), to kick their arses at. Mr. Green

And now you add cricket.... ai... even your Raj wants to open an corner shop at every corner (which is why they dont play football, at every corner awarded they want to open a shop), and now instead of ramming the queen down their throat, they ram curry down your throat. Mr. Green

Well better that poms go there and jump of bridges and buildings willingly than get pushed off Mr. Green

One of the best things i did was the " Luge " racing,

It looks rather slow in the video but it's really really fun,

It is not me in the video but it's just a taste of what it's like, their are 4 tracks i think all dotted around New Zealand, you have to go up HUGE mountins on " gondolas " then you have the opition to go back down using the " luge " racing carts, Great fun Mr. Green

Below is the fast track:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaXQaikwznY&feature=fvwrel

- Heres a picture looking down at queenstown, from the Gondolas i went up:

War? i don't think new zealand has ever seen a war, everywhere is so so frendly Laughing

no man not the kiwis. Our dislike of the poms for selling us out. It is time to settle scores before the old hatreds are forgetten Mr. Green

The sheeping shagging kiwis have nothing to do with it, except sellinguis low grade kiwi lamb at dumping prices. For animals with kiwi sperm still fresh Mr. Green

The jumping stuff, fark, join the army. They pay you do that. It paid my education to do stuff I would never pay to do. And now never will.

why people pay fortunes to jump from planes and do kak like paint ball ball, who figures? Rather get paid to do that shit, then grow up and move on.

That sky jump thingy. Let me get this straight. You get harnessed up like a christmas turkey ready for stuffing, Then dangled for an eternity a few hundred feet above the ground while the people you've just entrusted your life to debate when to cut the rope and you fall down to the ground, albeit in a controlled way.

Fuck that! Shocked

I went a while back and rode down both islands on a moped with a couple of mates.
I did a little write up ages ago-
https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=119923

Didn't do any of the bungy jumps as I don't think I would have enjoyed it, not because I was scared you have to understand Smile
