I have found a website that has extensive listing of part search by make model and year .
I wanted bulbs for putting together a emergency bulb kit for touring so psychically checked the bulbs on my vfr800 2008, then used there search & presto they have the bulbs . WEMOTO.COM is the site a uk company , for a stop/tail or indicator bulb only a couple of quid each ,unlike M&P £12.75 each!

most bulb manufacturers websites list pdf brochures that enable you to cross reference bulb numbers, enabling you to buy boxes of bulbs on Evilbay for as little as 50p a box of 10

If you have a workshop manual or even the owners manual for your bike, the bulbs that it takes should be listed in there.

You'll probably only need three. A headlight bulb, an indicator bulbs, and a rear light bulbs. Spare bulb kits for common bike fittings can be bought for around £10 and usually include fuses too.

Nice. I'd have to actually go and look.
