I had a KMX for a couple of years, and a mate had a DT. They're both good fun, simple and easy to get along with. All will be pretty old now though, so if i was buying one now, i'd just get whichever one I could find in decent condition.

I'm with matt, unless your only concern in life is fuel consumption, get a 2-stroke 125, EVERY...SINGLE...TIME.
The DT125X is supermoto and 2-stroke if you want that though. Not sure how easy it is to derestrict mind you, unlike the KMX, which even has a working KIPS valve.

It's probably pity
I do it sometimes when people seem too proud of their own shit. Gives them a big chufty, and everyone's laughing at them. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. In summery, mattsprattuk is a gobby little sh1tebag, dopehead tw4t, but sadly for all of us, he probably isn't THAT full of sh1te!!

Dt used to be easy to deristrict just a case of unplugging a wire behind the clocks somewhere. Can't remember off hand as its years since I had mine, |

Yeah, a mate had one, and I'm sure he told me this was the procedure, but he refused to do it in case it killed his engine (when in reality it would just let it work like a 2-stroke should )
With the older DT's at least, i'm pretty sure the powervalve was non functional, so you just had to set it in one position (either fully closed for low rev torque, fully open for the full screamer but nothing low down, or somewhere in between...).
