I have a 1994 cbr600f. When i cold start it i put full choke on start and leave for a few mins while i get my helmet & jacket etc and it runs fine. When i go back to the bike and turn the choke off it splutters and dies and then doesnt want to start and eventually i get it going and then its fine. I've tried leaving it warming up longer and it still does the same thing. Is it something im doing wrong or is there something wrong with the bike?

I've tried to include as much detail as possible

Any help greatly appreciated!!

You're leaving the choke "on" for too long.

All this warming your bike before riding it is overrated, all you need to do is ensure that the engine oil has reached all the correct places, you are then good to go.

You only need the choke to start the bike, once your moving, just turn the choke off!

Your bike engine will not be fully "warmed" up until you've actually ridden it for a few miles.

Honda's don't like the choke being on for very long. The 'blade kicks up a fuss if it gets the merest hint of choke after about 10 seconds, Kwak on the other hand will not run smooth until up to temperature.

Ok so iv tried what everyone suggested 3 times now it doesnt like no choke so iv been using a little choke and then leave it a few seconds and turn the choke off and it doesnt really like it but carrys on running but it doesnt run right it feels bogged down and unresponsive and by the end of my road it cuts out and then doesnt want to start again. But once u get it going it runs fine. I dont no what im doing wrong and dont no if its me or the bike.

Im really getting fed up with it now lol anyone got any more ideas?
