Drop an old GS, it's a bitch, but not too bad as its cheap. Drop a new shiny (expensive) DNA, you'll be f***ed off.

Stick to the GN mate.

The gilera is not up to much in comparison to whatelse you could have for the same money (£3000ish?) apart from that it would be completely ****ed by the time you had payed for it, if it lasted that long, orrible things.. fine if your not paying, but an nsr is a FAR better choice.
The gs on the otherhand, drop it - simply kick it back into shape and ride off, rarely would you damage more than the brake lever, they go forever properly maintained... also, the gs is not a scooter, the gilera might look like a bike but its not.
(no offence to anyone who has one, + nothing wrong with scooters but if your going to move up to a biger bike its not a good choice)

Or to put it another way, does anyone REALLY want to turn up to their DAS not knowing how to use gears? or a clutch?

GS is proven to be reliable, cheap and you won't loose much money on it (if any) buy buying used and selling.
DNA is probably faster as it's an auto but you'll loose lots of money on it.
Plus the GS is a motorbike so you'd feel better on it rather than on an imitation.

'Better' in what way Question

Better looking? Better value for money? Better for learning on? Better for commuting?
