I've been offered a project by a mate, I'm about to rent a garage near me anyway, would need to buy a few more tools but otherwise I'm sorted.

The bike is a Honda CBR 400 RR (NC 23), he did intent to run it as a track bike but he's moving as he wants rid quickly. The bike will be pretty much complete but in bits, quite tempted but not got a lot of experience engine-wise. Maybe this would be a good 'first' project? It's got a lot of expensive mods already done to it, and by the looks of it he could sell it on for more as parts.

The bike was a Cat C write off, but has been on the road until June.

He wants about £300, thanks in advance Very Happy

From ebay listing:

Quote:
It has a Graeme France shock kit fitted £250.
A GF extended side stand to take into account the increased rear ride height £30.

Almost new gold tsubaki 525 chain. And renthal rear sprocket. Barely used. £140

Modified LUCAS rearsets from an R1. Very trick. Feet are further back and higher up. £300.

Nc29 rear wheel and sprocket carrier and spacers for the full conversion £85. Wavy arashi disc £50.

And a fireblade front wheel £40. Both same spoke pattern.

Both with Dunlop qualifier 2s fitted. £160 a pair. Back has loads of life left. Front is on or near the limit.

Yokes fitted with good headstock bearings.
Working Thermostat and 2 lines still attached.
Fairing brackets.
Left and right clip ons are both straight. Rear brake is working and braided line. Rubbers behind the head stock are In place for ram air.
Front discs are straight. Wheel bearings are good.
The forks are in need of a rebuild.

Still attached to the frame are coolant bottle, fuel tank breather, loom plug holder. And all Associated brackets. As well as rear caliper hanger, complete rear brake, front chain glide.

The PERFECT basis for a track/race bike. I DO have the v5 for the frame. The bike was a cat C a few years ago. It's been on the road since.
The mot only ran out in June this year. Can be put back to being a road bike if you wish. Nothing stopping you.

he was gonna sell the rolling chasis and then the engine and bits seperately but as I'm local he'll even deliver as well Very Happy sounds like I'd be mad not too tbh Wink
