Being a seniole old git I put one of these on my BMW Scarver

https://www.wunderlich-sportouring.com/Wunderlich-By-Bike/F-Series/F-650/Electronic-Indicator-Reminder-12V-8600681

Stupidly expensive but fitted in minutes and does work.

No bleeps for the first 20 indicator flashes
A few beeps for the next flashes
- then beeps continuously.

Made for many other bikes than the Scarver

Just don't accidentally beep the horn when you go to press it off like I did, scaring the life out of some woman crossing the car park in front of Spar this morning Embarassed

I did that once by accident at a set of lights so I gave a quick look of disdain at the car behind then waved the person accross

I tried this on my bike and it helped. I said 'indicator' to myself turning them on - the word (having been said) stays in the memory for a few seconds longer than a mere thought (well mine, anyway). Then said 'off' when turning them off.

Try it. Soon enough it gets hard to say 'indicator' without saying 'off' soon after - this will prompt you and before long it will be an automatic reaction hopefully!

Cheers flatbadgeer, just put your suggestion to the test, it really works for me Cool Cool
I failed my first test on indicators being left on , doh

So you'd think I would have learnt by now

I never really leave mine on, it just seems to be an instant reaction after turning a corner.

I do hate car drivers who 'forget' to put them on or who leave it until the last possible second to turn them on..

Well, 3 days since I started this thread and I've not forgot to cancel my indicators once. Maybe I just had a bad day on Monday?

I know is a very old one, just dropping a line not to forget to cancel my indicators in future:
1
OSM:
Observation
Signal (Indicator)
Manoeuvre
- gear up -
Signal (Indicator) OFF - PSL

2
OS(I)M:
Observation ---> INDICATOR ---> Manoeuvre ---> OFF

You joined, and resurrected a 7 year old thread, just for that?

Wow.

Old Thread Alert!

The last post was made 4 years, 255 days ago. Instead of replying here, would creating a new thread be more useful?
