I'll be on my way to my training school for my mod 2 Very Happy

It's surreal to think that this is the final part, all it's been leading up to!

I really don't wanna fail, and i'm fairly confident I can do this

If I pass I'm off for my first motorway jaunt on the Friday morning from Glasgow to Ayr - I'm looking forward to this so I mustn't fail!

any final tips or advice in passing? all I can think of is, don't crash Thumbs Up keep up the observations Shocked and relax Cool

cheers!

Yes just relax and enjoy it. Cancel your indicator, stay at the speed limit, check mirrors every 20 seconds or so, shoulder checks. Be confident in your riding, it goes a long way to impressing the examiner.

Good luck for tomorrow, the main thing that helped me during my tests was relaxing. It sounds simple but try not to overthink it, and remember to breathe!

Treat it as another ride out and give yourself time to get all the checks in.

Thumbs Up

Simply ride safe, legal and with confidence and they can't fail you.

Do your obs, cancel your indicators, hold good road position and the examiner will need some serious head scratching to be able to fail you.

Good attitude too I find goes a long way. The right gear, hi vis vest and a pleasant hello (and maybe a little joke about the weather or something) it all goes to showing the examiner that you are a safe, sound individual.....not some young chav with an attitude problem. The more brownie points you get before you've even got on the bike the better. It may make no difference...but if you are borderline pass/fail, he may just give you the benefit of the doubt.

It's easy to say 'just relax' but I bet no matter how much people tell you that, you will still be nervous.

Another little tip....if you make a little mistake or you feel you didn't do a few things 100% right, DON'T let it get to you, don't let it play on your mind, the examiner isn't looking for a 100% perfect ride, he's looking to make sure you can ride safely and confidently. In my Mod2 I got annoyed with myself as I felt on a couple of junctions I hadn't pulled out as smooth as I liked, or id not felt I'd positioned myself perfectly....I kept 'mentally' shouting at myself saying "ffs, he's gonna fail me for that now, that looked sh*t".....but after he told me I passed I had a chat about the test with him and he said he didn't notice and thought I rode a good clean, safe, confident ride.

So yeah, try not to dwell on any mistakes you may make, cos chances are if they are minor mistakes the examiner may not notice and may not mark you down unless its serious.

Anyway...best of luck. Thumbs Up

You might want to correct that Smile

Don't put yourself under pressure. Having a goal is fine, but ensure you don't need to pass in order to do your Mway trip.

Think about how you'll get to Ayr it if you fail, this should take the pressure off a bit during your test.

Best of luck with the other sods on the road tomorrow!
