Sorry - Holding my hand up as a complete beginner.

Just got my first motorbike jacket today off ebay (Weise Psycho Jacket). I went for a medium - fits nice and snug - problem (possibly) is how long should bike jackets be? Do they usually sit a bit higher than a normal jacket because the pants are usually higher OR does it sound like I might have a jacket thats slightly too short?

I've seen the Weise Psycho pants have a really high back on them and they are designed to zip together..

Any thoughts appreciated
Al

That does look like a shortie. As I mentioned in your other thread, you can just get a (broad) kidney belt and throw it on. Covers the gap, helps with your posture, hides your gut, it's all win.

I've bought a few jackets on eBay and they ALL came out a bit short at the back. Fit perfectly otherwise.

I've heard it said they are supposed to be a bit short so that they don't push up at the collar when your on the bike. However I'd definitely prefer them to be longer.

But anyway, I just live with it. There's workarounds you can do to stop the draft/rain etc.

I've bought a couple of Buffalo jackets both diffeent styles for me and the Mrs, the length is fine - perhaps thats because we're both short arse's!

Yep I'm the same...I'm 5'9" and my short summer jacket fits perfectly on body and length even when bent over on the bike...whereas I reckon it would be short on a six footer.

One benefit of being short I guess.

Depends really. All my summer type leathers are short, but designed so the trouser zips in so no gap.
However, my winter textile is extra long to cover my arse, the trouser goes well under that Thumbs Up

My RST 2 piece is short in the jacket bit the trousers come up long at the back so it works. It would be a bit short if I just wore the jacket on its own though. I guess they're designed like that.

+1 for "a little shorter than a non bike jacket". But the trousers come up higher, and have a figure hugging elastic waistband, so it's not like you go about with a bare midriff or lower back...
