Not legal to use on the road to my knowledge though it can be installed but unarmed.
If you do a search on the forum you'll find some stuff on NOS kits etc, including prices.
Personally on a 125 2 stroke its only going to make it need more frequent rebuilds, less reliable and also the gas doesn't last very long. ____________________ The BCF's very own Party boy! Though he's getting old and feeling it!

@hex - a bottle is going to last a hell of a lot longer being ported into a tiny 125cc chamber rather than a 600/1000cc+ four! - and I'd put money on it being totally legal - you don't even have to carry the 'Hazchem' stickers for compressed gas cylinders etc (although personally I'd rather have my motor stickered up ) ____________________ James

Sell the NSR, buy a 600.
Between £1000 and £7000 and expect 80 to 110bhp. ____________________ BCF: Be yourself, just don't be an arse. |

Also if you are on 'L' plates the maximum power you are allowed is 14bhp, so NOS is a no-no.
Even so, doing your test would be easier, cheaper and less likely to blow parts of your body off when the piston flies through the tank. ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F

Hi
Can think of no reason why it would be illegal to install or use nitrous on a road bike in the UK. Insurance might well be a problem though.
However an NSR125 will manage around 25hp when derestricted, so a 5hp~10hp increase is 20%~40%, and that will have an effect on engine life. Also remember that the bottle will not last very long at all.
To get it to work properly you will need to have a fiddle with the ignition timing, and gearing as the nitrous is likely to have a noticeable effect on when and how the engine produces power.
As mentioned above it will not be learner legal, and would be an expensive way to go marginally quicker (full system with controller, etc, is likely to set you back around £700) considering that if you had a full licence you could get a bike with that much power quite cheaply.
All the best

The other trouble is the power will be completely unmanageable, and a bike that handles well will often waste a bike with more power through the twisties. I can't see that using nitrous in a corner would be a clever plan! ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F

The only use for NOS on a bike like that is if you were going to sprint it.
It will be pricey (dont get one of these half assed ebay kits) however I reckon you could posibly run a shot of about 20hp with a progressive controler (more money again).
Would be good for a laugh, and if set up right it shouldn't damage your engine.

They offer a warranty on there stuff, I have only heard good things aobut wizards reliability. They are no the cheapest place though. Mr C knows of cheaper if you ask him :d
