Hey guys first post here!=]

Basically I'm hopefully going to be buying a Honda cbr600F with 42,000 miles on the clock. Im just wondering if anyone has had problems with such a high mileage engine? It has been regularly maintained and has been well looked after, i just dont want to buy a bike to have to fix it in a few thousand miles

Ive just passed my full bike test so i really want somthing reliable

Thanks guys! Mr. Green

My GPZ600R has done 40k and runs great, but on the other hand it was a cheap bike and I had to spend more than it was worth fixing it all up. If your bike has been maintained well it may well be a good bike. Personally if I was after a bike as a reliable every day form of transport I would be after something with a much lower mileage.

I sold mine on 40k, and my mate who bought it has put about 3k on it since. It's running great although it could do with the carbs coming off and being cleaned as there's a slight lumpiness on occasion in certain circumstances.

The engine / box are still absolutely fine. I'd not worry about mileage too much on a CBR, moreso condition and history

as long as its been serviced regularly it'll go forever!! (may be exaggerating slightly there)

40k indeed.. its barely worn in!! Razz
