Anyone have an MTC tailpipe? Any opinions on them?

Am considering buying this one from ebay.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-CBR-600-FX-FY-Stainless-Oval-dome-outlet-race-can-/120590321494?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item1c13be4756

I need to replace the standard can as recently got damaged. I quite fancy something different but don't want anything too noisy nor too expensive.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

thanks
Straker

Danmoto exhausts are good, I have had two of the carbon fibre ones and both have been brilliant. There was a track team that tested it on a gsxr1000 against a le vince system and on the dyno there was no difference between the two.
Sound good but are very loud Smile

I always recommend Fuel exhausts.

Good quality and they do a budget SS version to save money.

Thumbs Up

I've got a Scorpion can on my Bandit, listed for £200 got it for £150 delivered after some haggling. Sounds nice but not too loud with baffles in, and is LOUD with them out, so best of both worlds! Laughing

I would second a danmoto exhaust, my I got my OH the gp style one the same as the link below:

https://www.dan-moto.com/DM_INT/gsx-r-1000-k1-k4-2001-2004-gp-extreme-product-68.html

Sounded amazing fitted like a glove and the quality was top notch. The only thing I would say is that the the rubber band that fits on the exhaust strap melted onto the can. So replace the rubber and you are good to go Thumbs Up

I have a 2001 CBR600f with a scorpion can, nice sound to it. Been on there for over 8 years and it is in fine condition.

I feel spoilt for choice here.

Definitely want something with a nice tone but also definitely do not want soemthing that will wakeup half the nieghbourhood every time I fire up the bike.

Which cans are known to be quite tame in terms of noise?

cheers

Motad will be very quiet, they are made as replacement for the factory exhaust but they do also make louder cans.
EDIT
They only appear to do the Venom (louder version) for the FY model but at £125+vat they're not too expensive.

Or a blue flame twin exit was a nice but quiet noise on a mates bandit until someone kidnapped both it's baffles Twisted Evil strangely the owner wont let me re-fit them and it's still nowhere near as loud as my CF stubby with it's baffle IN!
