Looks like you got a good deal, they usually hold good value aswell.

And it looks in great condition so if you decide to sell down the line am sure you could easily get your money back.

I had a kmx 125 and that thing pulled my fat arse to 75, 80 down hill with a good wind behind me Wink so one morning when a lovely gentleman decided he couldn't be bothered waiting in the side road any longer he pulled and parked in my path on the main road...

Anyway what I am trying to get to is that the insurance paid 1500 for the bike I only paid 1200 for it a year earlier!

Awesome sauce

Just be safe out there fella, they usually just look straight passed you! Eye contact is essential.

Any upgrades planned?

I knew there was inconsiderate drivers but I didn't anticipate the sheer blindness of some of these drivers!
Some bloke started having a go at me for speeding when I politely pointed out that it was infact a 60 limit like the sign says he told me to f-off and i should ride sensible!

Bottom line of it was he seen a glimps of a offroad bike going past and thought I was riding illegal, if I could do 60 on them twisty roads covered in mud off the famers traktor with a dt125 having shit road handling/tyres I would be the best rider in the world

Starting to get the middle finger warmed up!!

I'm gonna get a tail tidy, small profile indicators, new piston/rings and some decent semi offroad tyres.
not really planing on much really just small addons and maintaining the engine.

I have a blue 2003 DT with all the restrictions removed. I'm 15 stone on a good day and it'll hit 90mph no problem. Planning on fitting the supermoto wheels in a few weeks and then it'll be a lot more fun.

Nice bikes though, I prefer your graphics to the ones I have! Enjoy it Smile

I would suggest Bridgestone trail wings semi off road tyres, I was chasing bikes down cat and fiddle with them on my 250, great in the dry good for off road and a good choice and not bad value

i was looking into the supermoto but decided against it as i would want my suspension setup firmer to stop the front end diving and the price of wheels and tyres kinda puts it out of my reach.

the graphics on my bike are just standard but its been dropped and the top part of "DT" is missing along with scuffs so they will be getting replaced with the same originals though)

May I suggest that if you are going to go green laning on that, then swap out the hand guards for some that will actually protect your hands! Ones that wrap around the levers and attach to the end of the bar are best, especially the ones with a metal brace going down the middle.

Ones like this would offer you the best protection against wayward branches or stop your hand getting crushed when you fall. Yes, they are expensive but I bought cheapy ones when I went green laning and the first time I dropped the bike they snapped right off. My replacement Acerbis ones have survived a couple of years, many off road crashes and one road crash with only a few scuffs on them.

Other than that, tidy bike! I hankered after a dt125 myself for a while Thumbs Up

yeh mate valid point, ones i have now i would consider as wind deflectors for your hands rather than protectors
im sure i have some already in my garage, they have the metal wrapround aswell...

ill have to look into that
cheers
