Does anyone wear leathers all year round? I'm after a 2 piece that can be used all year round. I'm not after anything waterproof because I don't take the bike out if it's raining. The only time I get wet is if I get caught out, which surprisingly this year in 7000 miles I can count on two hands. I also don't go out if it's below about 4C, but my main concern is the cold. I need something that will keep me warm. Obviously a set of textiles would be the better option but just wondering if a set of warm leathers could work so I don't have to buy two sets.

I usually wear leathers all year round as i am in the same situation as you descried.

My leather jacket has a removable inner liner for those colder days.

I do have some textile pants but do prefer the leathers.

Wear something warm under/over them, get some waterproofs, job done.

Nobody can judge how warm/cold you are except you.

What Bendy said,
Something warm underneath, then your protection and then something like a normal waterproof jacket for rain and wind.

What leathers are you wearing? I have an RST Slice jacket which I love, but it's perforated so it lets in a lot of cold air. Do you find yourself getting cold when it drops to below 10C?

I've always found that leathers do bog all to keep you warm, certainly after the first five minutes in the saddle, and soon as they get 'chilled' thats it, they just suck heat from you. Thermal under-wear helps a bit, but they still don't seem to offer any insulation as soon as they have got cold.

I would wear thermals beneath, then I would put jeans and a ski-jacket 'over' to keep the heat in!

For all year commuting, Textiles.

trying all sorts of methods to keep myself warm in leathers.

So far, just leathers on there own I can handle down to about 15 deg before windchill makes me freezing. Laughing

cheapo thermals don't do much. So i whipped out the thick liners out of my textiles, fitted into leathers and BAM. Mucho warmth. Couple those with a hoody, and a thin jumper under that, with a long sleeve shirt and I can now go down to about 8degrees okay.

But the windchill is still a massive factor, bought a facemask the other day which is 100% polyester and doesn't seem to absorb much moisture. And REALLY keeps the wind off my neck, so went hunting for the same material in a base layer...

Currently wearing the bottom base layer of polyester and i'm sweating out.... Will ditch the fat inner liners to my leathers, and see if these thermals do much better!!!

still, it's just over13 deg outside, so i shouldn't need the fat inners if im wearing the thermal layer...

I've been fine with a thermal layer, windstopper layer, with leathers over the top. Rainsuit if it's wet, otherwise youra ttire will consume all available moisture in the atmosphere.

I wore leathers all year round in the UK, but I did have a big fluorescent jacket when it was cold, rainy or darkish - https://www.vizwear.com/cat/High-Visibility/0.1/subcat/Jackets/Fleece/2/product/PARKA-2-TONE/46

i wear my two piece all year, findi it better at keeping me warm than the textile gear i have.
i wear a thermal under layer under it all year too - keeps the leathers from sticking to me in the hot days, keeps the cold off the rest of the time, also a t shirt on top of the thermal layer, maybe two if its icy, seen some people wear a hoody on top too, but i couldnt get one on whilst wearing leathers.
mine do zip together at the bottom all of the way round, like a once piece though - this stops the jacket rising and keeps the warm in ... also surprisingly waterproof! i hardly ever use textiles now.

I wear leathers all year. Even when freezing cold.
Lots of layers is the answer.

Wear leathers most of the year on a 125 and just wear a t-shirt underneath. Akito Leathers Second hand. No waterproof suits over the top.

I wear leathers all year round.

I carry Regata thin breathable walking waterproofs that go over my leathers for when it rains. (Much better than motorcycle waterproofs in my opinion and experience).

Regarding the cold, Top half in winter it's lots of layers and a jumper. My legs don't tend to get too cold tbh, just my top half. But textiles are warmer (I do have a pair but never wear them tbh, I just don't trust textiles in a crash).
