Hello,

As titled- The immobiliser/alarm was already on my Fazer 600 when bought second hand and had been trouble free for 6 months. After my commute home on Monday, I turned the ignition off and the bike decided it did not want to respond to the fob. I tried the other fob but nothing- i then raced out and bought replacement battries and it suddenly worked before i went to sleep- or so i thought...

Woke up for work and nothing from it. The dash lights up when the ignition is turned on but the fob doesn't work (i can see the LED lit up where the alarm is fitted still). I connected the battery up and charged it via trickle for hours...nothing. I then carried out the code sequence as directed by the manual and bingo it came out of sleep mode!? I then went for a long ride in addition to the fact it had been trickle charged- ignition off- immobiliser triggers after 50 seconds- I try the fob to start the bike again and no freaking repsonse from the fob.

This morning in the rain i had to perform the code sequence again to get to work- seat off, looking for flashes from a bloody LED to correspond with numbers. I had to do the same again to get home.

The immobiliser/alarm is somehow stuck in sleep mode even though there appears to be juice in the battery. Does anyone have some suggestions??

One key bit of info i suppose... On the Monday, i had used my heated grips for the first time but they are connected via the headlight and so turn off automatically even if i did forget myself which i hadn't.

Many thanks.

Hey,

I've gone through the reset sequence and the fobs just won't re-register. I am able to put the alarm into 'searching mode' via two pin entries but the fobs just don't get the beep.

Thinking i'll just get it ripped out as this is a joke. To think you have to break a safe code- so the speak- just to pop to the shops.
