.. but I do have a reasonable excuse. Embarassed

(sorry the picture is bad, take while in agony awaiting initial plaster)

Broken tib/fib on left leg. For a bike that's so light it can still do a lot of damage Sad

The xrays with the pin work look impresive, might try and get a copy of them. went in via the knee quite neat, although the staples look like they just got someone in from admin to quickly do the job Laughing

Now everyone around me is saying I won't be getting back on a bike because that would be stupid... I can't wait to get back on :/

I'm counting down the 14 weeks... still only in week one sadly.

Andy

Does this mean you finally came off the bike after going on before in another thread ages ago about how you wouldn't? Wink

On the other hand, that looks nasty. Ouchie. Sad Good luck with not riding a bike for that long..!

Over 6 months on and my tib and fib still weren't even starting to heal!

However, do have some pics of me doing wheelies and stoppies on a bike with crutch holders attached with said broken leg Smile.

You're sorted for Halloween, take that pic round the doors and you could eat like a king!

I was about to start looking for a thread all about it, but it seems from the responses above that there isn't one yet.

Did you get your tests done (mod1/2)?

Ouch! Sorry to hear that... And also sorry to hear people think you won't be riding bikes again, don't worry, they don't understand what it's like Wink

Wish you a speedy recovery!

A dancer friend of mine broke her ankle pretty badly a few years ago (she was 50 something at the time), and the doctor told her she'd never be able to dance properly again... 6 months and some intensive physio later, she was back on the floor dancing like nothing had happened, I'm sure it will be the same for you (but with bikes, not dancing).

It sounds like he dropped the bike on his leg. Probably from a standstill. Laughing
