Good news, passed with no advisorys Very Happy

Not so good news, the (un)trained chimps at the DVLA have my VIN number wrong, there's 2 extra letters on the V5 and computer system making it a 19 character VIN... They're all supposed to be 17 character.

Fucking morons Laughing I shall wait for the letter telling me that my tester has it wrong before ringing them and seeing how we go about sorting it out.

Probably, the tester said that something like 80% of the DVLA records have mistakes on them, I know they made a fuckup on my license that took nearly 2 years to spot.

I wouldn't worry, according to the DVLA I obtained my full bike license at the age of 13 which led to an interesting conversation with a traffic officer at a roadside check!

Aah the Department of Various Lost Articles, lost 3 years of my full licence entitlement. Luckily it hasn't bit me in the arse, yet. Not to mention their various SORN / Change of registered keeper fuck ups I have been subjected to over the years. Dislike them immensely!

The DVLA do indeed fook up..

On my '92 (which was obviously an '80 but we'll not go into that) Honda XL125, the VIN was made of 12 characters, 6 dedicated to the model, and 6 numbers, obviously factory line product number.

The V5 said XL1255*6 numbers*
It should have been XL125S*6 numbers*

On mine it should have 5 letters followed by 12 numbers, on the paperwork supplied by the Swansea spunk monkeys there are 6 letters and 12 numbers followed by another letter...

Take off the last of the 6 and the extra letter on the end and all the rest is a perfect match so the tester was happy to test it and enter the correct VIN manually.

When my MoT tester enters the VIN number for my KTM it comes up as a 450SMR which is a factory supermotard racer instead of the enduro model.
