I was chatting to Marmalade in irc about a week ago, asked if he got my PM, he said nothing came through, I thought maybe he skipped over it and would find it shortly after and reply..

I since PM'd a newer guy about some bike parts, no issues.. I check this 'outbox' feature which I presume is the bit that tells you that either the messages in there are pending sending or they haven't yet been read - since Marmalade hasn't got any from me I'm thinking it's the former, so how does one get round it not sending?

I want to order some pretty stickers from him, and pay for them - is this a problem on the forum or am I finding a way to cock-up sending a simple PM?

If you try to send a PM which the system rejects because it thinks it's spam or phishing, the recipient will not receive it. Try again and don't mention money / bank accounts / passwords as much.

If a PM is sitting in your outbox, it means the recipient hasn't read it yet. Once they read it, it moves into your sentbox until it's deleted.

If you see a notice saying "You have 2 new messages" and click your inbox, but do not read the new messages, you'll go back to browsing the site with the notice now saying "You have no new messages". Those 2 messages you didn't read will still be marked as unread in your inbox, and still sitting in the sender's outbox, but they're no longer new messages so you're free to ignore them without actually reading.
