Mikuni Flat slide 28mm carbs a vast improvement but still have to faff around with jetting to get it right is nothing easy on these bikes also to keep the autolube i had to put a small mod into the carb on each of them also now have a modified standard type airbox and rubbers
Now tried size 200 230 mains just fitted 260 and 40 pilots to see if it will pull through the rev range it was hanging back see if these help

in the end had to go out main at 280 to get this set of catbs to work but all good now
just have to plan a ride with as many petrol stationson route a possible
it seems to be doing around 9-10mpg eeaakk

Wow cool!

After reading the first lines I was expecting to scroll down and see some haggard old RD's in shed condition but I was pleasantly surprised.

No doubt a few on here will belate you for not doing a full original nut and bolt re-build using only original parts but I think they both look great!

The 350 is a sweet looking bike, nicely done without being too 'in your face'. As KLR600 says though, prepare to dodge the purists!
What are your plans for the 500?

Those are my idea of a nicely restored bike! I fail to understand how the 350 is still ongoing...it looks finished and polished to me.

Damn nice bikes fella

wasn't sure about the single sider in the 350 but seeing it form the other side I like it, those pipes look like they were a bit of a mare.

I can understand the purists but if everyone built original replica's it'd be a bit boring. Personally i like the original style but with uprated suspension, newer style wheels etc.
Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

the clocks yeh they look great and work nice but they were a bitch to make
the is bandit 1200 clocks tear all the guts out so you just have the shells
then the inners are from a company in the states with the coolest name "Cyberdyne" yeh the terminator thing was one of my reasons to buy Very Happy
but the dials did not fit straight in i had to shape and cut them to get them in and the pack the shells to get them in the right place.
then routing the wires thriugh was a journy o discovery just had to go by eye
the clocks are actutally for american cars but work brilliant
if you decide to have a go its a real job to do but worth it
oh and it cost around £500 all in the price of having soethng different is never cheap, after import duties and two lots of clocks
still thats it
worth it in the end

Haha! I ment to say the 350. I know what you mean. It always takes longer than expected and costs more than expected. But it's time and money well spent in my eyes.
