Right, seeing as the stock tyres are a bit 'lively' in the moist weather and I've had a few brown trouser moments lately I'd like to think about something a bit more reliable.

Before anyone leaps in and says 'Sportys', it's a YBR125 Custom...or, 'awkward', so no they don't fit.

Anyone have experience of which tyres to fit one of these? I'm damned if I can find anything.

SPORTY's Smile

Speak to your insurance company first about using the metric equivalent...

90/90-18 on the front and a 100/80-16 for the rear.

Rolling Eyes wut?

Google agrees with OP, only seems to be stock tyres for it o.O
You're own fault for getting a custom, tassle wannabe Wink

If you can find out if they are the same size as the default YBR you might be alright, otherwise its stocky you for

Heh, I wondered what the tassles were for in the Yamaha pack. Then I realised, I got them off your mum Laughing

As luck(?) would have it the bike is in for repair atm after a rear sprocket bolt decided to make a bid for freedom, straight into the chain tensioner....at speed. One hefty bang later and I'm pushing a crippled bike to the Yamaha center round the corner, mint. Lucky for me it's a warranty job. Anyway, as I was saying, since it's in the shop at the moment I've tasked the chief grease monkey with seeing what tyres can be fitted that aren't shit.....

Watch this space.

Did you have to buy a nipple to bike tassle adapter then?

lol, oh dear, sounds like somebody didn't knock down the tabs on the sprocket when they changed them Wink

Now you've got me thinking of a nasty practical joke involving nipple tassles and Araldite......hrrmm.

Yeah that was my prognosis n'all but it must've been some twonk at the factory because the sprocket's never been off. Ah well, it only had two months warranty left so it came in useful for some new parts.

Means you paid over the odds for it though, probably more than it'd cost to fix it yourself Karma

Narp; I got it for a good price second hand with 1 year warranty remaining on it very low mileage. As is often the case with cruisers/mini-cruisers it had been lovingly kept by an elderly born-again biker wanting to use it for a wee while before he went out to rattle his false teeth out on a Harley again.
