sv fork rebuild.

Hi just trying to gather some info on rebuilding my sv 650 forks (curvey model).
As most people know the standard forks on the sv can be quit erm spongy shall we say.. so over winter i plan on rebuilding them but on a budget really, iv heard that progressive springs and new oil to suit would benfit them and obviously new seals which im more than capable of doing.

Iv heard alot about emulators and such things but they can be pretty expensive so would just uprated springs and sufficient oil make a good noticable difference?

also how would i know what springs as im sure they would be different for your weight and oil to match? is there an online calculator from say k-tec or hyperpro.
