Right, similar happened to me, I didn't get the points but I'd lost my license somewhere. Phone the police station where you have to produce, explain to them your license is missing and they should happily give an extension to the producer.

Bit off topic, but is it alright to stick a L plate to your bag? as alot of people seem to end up having the plastic ones on the back rip off, and end up with a £60 fine Rolling Eyes

Doh!, more bad luck with the law. If I were you I'd do as Slavo said. What happened regarding the last time you were pulled, you said they mentioned something about a summons but did you actually have anything come though the door? Im just curious as since I was pulled and done for speeding im always petrified the police are going to pick me up on a law I dont know exists and take my lisense away (wouldn't be so bad if it was provisional, but my car lisense is very usefull), im always looking over my shoulder. Hope it goes smoothly from here Thumbs Up .

Cheers, Jonathan

On the form for a new licence application there is a statment that says something like if you have lost your paper and plastic licence then call the DVLA and they will send you a new one. I did this and my new licence came within 2 days. Pretty good service from the DVLA for a change!

i got away with doing a 70 in a 30,when i look back on it
those police officers wernt bad
i got away with it afterall and it was genrally wrong

this time, getting chased down the road(i didnt know at the time)
i pulled into a bp garage to fill up and 3 police cars surrounded me and grabed me off the bike,
they said the signalled me to pull over, i didnt see nothing
so they let me go, and just gave me points for no L plate for the spite of it and a £60 fine aswell Middle Finger Neutral Middle Finger

the sooner i pass my test the better

You have 7 days not 5 when you get a HORTY (Producer)
It's effective from midnight the day its issued.

As for the missing L Plate, I've been pulled before and was missing a rear one, you could see where it has snapped off as the top of it was still there.

I pleeded with the officer and appologised and he told me to go to the nearest place that sells L Plates ASAP!

So I went to the nearest petrol station and bought one!

I must have got a nicer policeman than you. Smile

Did the blue lights and "WOOP WOOP" from the sirens not alert you to their presence.

How can you not see 3 police cars.

Looks as thought they really punished you because you didn't pull over...

A random nugget... get some proper gear. If you're riding in trackies and trainers, you look far more like you've just nicked the bike.

And I, for one, am quite happy for the police to be pulling people who look like they might be riding a nicked bike. Cos one day, it could be mine.
