Hi, this is a great site, and I am enjoying reading the content for I am also new to riding bikes.
As a short (28in leg) fat person, I am struggling to find a pair of waterproof protected bike trousers that fit me. Those that I have tried and state 'short leg' are normally a couple inch too long, and the knee protectors are Shin guards.
Surely I am not the only person that has this problem; so my question is, where do others of my size and shape get nice fittings biker clothing?

Regards,

You can live with them being a bit long, and as for the knee pads, they'll be in a pocket. Put a few stitches in it, that'll hold them higher up.

Many thanks for the replies.
The couple of bike stores around Hull do not seem to stock ES sizes.
Visiting the Coalville would be a days outing for me as I am located 125mile away. but they are next day delivery - bonus.
Just looking at their range, and they have some Extra Short trousers that will fit. I will use the measured size of my waist, as opposed to the vanity size on my jeans tags.. fingers crossed that they will not be too big at the mid-rift.

I have exactly the same problem. Couldn't find trousers to fit me anywhere. I ended up buying a pair of Spada ones, and modified them to raise the kneepad pockets 10cm higher.

I got mine from J&S Accessories. Tried a few and bought Frank Thomas. When walking the knee pads are a tad low but when on the bike they rise-up and fit my knees (also short legged). As long as they stay there when I spill. Wink
