Mod 1 now but what if I can't take my Mod 2 till next year?

I'm suffering, well apart from a lack of bike atm, with no funds for my mod 2, and I probably won't have any funds till next year.

As I have a mod 1 on a 500CC now, what would I have to take my mod 2 on next year? How will it work?

Short answer: we don't know.

There's a table up on directgov (soon to be "gov") that implies that (if you're 24+) you'll be able to sit the new A (aka A3) mod 2 on a 595cc+ 40kW+ bike next year, but some of what it says is nonsensical, so I wouldn't bet your license on it.

Practically speaking, it's going to come down to the DSA Derek on the day. Have you tried calling your local test centre to ask?
