My oldest and besterest mate's birthday is coming up.

He should be passing his test in short order, so I'd like to get him some bike related paraphernalia as a gift. As far as I know he's got all his gear.

I'm really shit with presents at the best of times, but since this is a double-special occassion I'd like it to be a goodun. Budget is <£50.

Cheers!

Does he have bike? Or know what one he's getting yet?

Maybe an experience day of some variety. But at a quick look they're all about double your budget - maybe there's a cheapie out there?

Years' subscription to a bike magazine if he's the reading type.

Great suggestions, thank you!

He does have a bike already, a CB500, but I'd like to avoid getting bike-specific stuff (parts, manuals, etc), simply because I'd like to get something that would be future proof, so to speak.

I really like the idea of a tank bag. Any recommendations for my budget?

This is the tank bag i have recently purchased, big enough and does its job very well. highly recommended. I got mine from amazon for 29.99 but out of stock now from the seller, but sure you could find it cheaper somewhere, than the ebay ad i have posted! cheers Very Happy

Something to help bike maintenance? A paddock stand or a motorcycle wheel spinner (2 rollers type, the 4 balls is apparently shit) to make it easier to lube chain.
