Search the forum for Weise, everytime Weise comes up it seems to get slated for crap waterproofing.
Aren't you supposed to ask, before you buy? |

I had a loan of a Hein Gericke Tuareg jacket last winter, and it was awesome. Unfortunately it doesn't fit me any more (lost a lot of weight), I suspect I'm gonna miss it when the temperature drops properly.
What I do like is my Respro rain jacket which keeps you very dry and due to being plastic, also keeps the wind out a lot. No pretentions of 'breatheability' or anything, just a barrier between you and the outside. Bung one of these on top of your usual kit, thermal up underneath and you should be pretty toasty. |

The Tuareg is a Tuareg jacket for desert conditions not eggsackery British Winter. I had one (which got nicked) but it was an erse anyway as the outside was not waterproof it had a removable waterproof liner
The other specific Winter jackets HG make are well worth the money. (If you can see your way to £600 though.) I use them with just a base layer and a thinish jumper for everyday chill but for tose sharp and bright frosty mornings I have my heated jaiket under it too.
