Engine trouble

i've recently heard a strange sound coming from the engine. When i slow down i can hear a funny spinning noise. It sounds like when your pads wear down.(Honda nsr rr)

Are you sure the noise is from the engine? There's a clutch, bunch of gears and a water pump spinning away in the engine casing, not to mention a crankshaft, so a spinning noise is kind of normal. If the oil is old you might hear a bit more noise, oil change does no harm.

If the noise is when you're slowing down then it probably IS the brake pads. Check the pads for wear or they might just be dusty.
Check the coolant level just in case the water pump is pushing bubbles. Though if the coolant was that low you'd have found out about it by now...
