Setting the time on a 2000 Fireblade RRY

Please please help me !!!

This is driving me crazy. 2 weeks ago I brought a Year 2000 CBR900 RRY.

What an amazing bike, very pleased....except...

I get 1:00 flashing at me constantly. I need to set the correct time but I cant figure out how. I've tried resetting ignition holding buttons etc, could someone please put me out of my misery and explain how I do it. I emailed Honda a week ago but no response.

hold down mode till it flashes, then press mode again so just the hour is flashing, then press reset until u get the number u want, then press mode again so only the mins are flashing....then press reset untill u get the number u want, then press mode so both numbers are flashing, then finally hit reset lol.
