How much energy do you use?

I see that gas and electricity prices have gone up, again. I was looking at switching and noticed that the bills these days tell you how much you have used in the last 12 months (making it easier to fill in those price comparison websites).

So, here's what we seem to get through. I was wondering if this is a little, about standard or a lot. What do the rest of you use?

Gas: 16105 kWh
Electricity: 6054 kWh

Or about £1620 a year.

Only 2 of us in ours, our annual cost is about £700-800 a year for energy.

£64 a month for gas and electricity.
£11 for water.

Do you police lighting and other shit left on for not reason?
Check for draughts. You lose pennies an hour from poorly sealed door and windows which can make that cheap foam tape pay for it's self in one year. (If you like a cosy hoose)

Fire places with no fire? Block up the chiminey. It's the smae as having a window open to the wilds.

And look at chaning supplier but that can be good or short term.

Main thing is DO NOT USE THE ENERGY as much as posible.
Jumpers and even thremals are good. Though mabey not worht the energy to launder. Smile

Think our combined bill works out at about £120 a month. That is in a reasonable size house which could do with better loft insulation, and we are not really that careful with energy use.

Based on that I would say yours is a bit high.
