Just been out on my bike today and after (carefully!) running it in for 1000kms I got on a nice downhill stretch and gave it what for!

The problem is at anything above 65-70ish the engine is screaming its knackers off for another gear,so would it be possible to change the sprocket sizes front and/or rear to try and drop the revs a bit? I don't obviously want to make it overgeared so that it wouldn't pull so well uphills

My bike by the way is a Hyosung Comet GT125 which is beautiful to ride and IMO a real nice looker...i'm pleased with it anyway and thats all that matters to me! Smile

Any advice would be appreciated,cheers.

Its a 125, you have to have the engine screaming to get anywhere, enjoy it, when you move up to a bigger bike you'll miss being able to thrash a bike around everywhere!

shaun is right, u play around with the gearing on a 125 and your have all sorts of problems due to the lack of torque and power, any 125cc bike, be it an rs125, an nsr or yours will be screaming its head off at 70mph...so i wouldn't worry about it.

Thumbs Up
