Hi, I have just recently got my bike back on the road after 3 months at the garage with a clutch problem.

I got it back on Monday and it was a little slugish getting it home. So I decided to take it out to wear it back in once the traffic had calmed down. So I took it out and after about 10 minutes it was working great so I decided to go for a little ride out.

Then I went passed a group of kids which had put a brick in the middle of the road which I didn't notice to last minute and went straight over it buckeling my front wheel, so now it's back off the road again.

So as you can probably guess i'm in the market for a new front wheel also is the front wheel specific to the bike or would one from a similar model fit e.g the NS125RK.

Sorry to hear mate!

hope you finally get your bike back on the road for a meaningful length of time...

Try ebay for a new wheel... though you have the risk of buying one that is also buckled, you may be lucky and find one near you.

Hi

The NS used a 16" front wheel while the NSR used a 17" front wheel. Not really feasable to swap them over.

You really need an NSR wheel, but you can probably use one from several models of NSR125.

Also see about getting your wheel repaired, depending on how badly dented the rim is.

All the best

Keith

Thanks for your replies and help. I have spent all yesterday ringing around breakers and have managed to find one for £40 including post and packaging. Should receive it on Friday and should hopefully have it back on the road for the weekend. I did go down to the garage to see if it could be straightened but the way it got hit its pushed on of the spokes to the side and he said it wouldn't be possible.

What a load of b*****ds kids can be! I was gonna say ask Jam, he's got a couple of RKs in biks. Oh n about seeing me and NSKeith, it might have been me pulling over this lad on an NS125RK, thinking he was you! I think he looked a bit worried when I signaled him over though, nice bloke we had a chat about the bikes. I go down woodland road nearly every day to work. If you want to go for a good ride when the bike is back on the road, hit the roads up middleton and teesdale, was up there yesterday with me mate on a 9R, and another on a VFR400. Gave em a run for there money (mainly because I know the road), one hell of a ride out though.

Ok will do. I've got it back on the road now with a stylish illuminus orange front wheel Rolling Eyes , couldn't find a white one for the right price. So I might see you round. I've seen another lad going round Darlington and Newton Aycliffe a couple of times but the panel under his seat is white.
