I've currently got a policy with Carole Nash, and since starting work further away I've been looking into a winter hack. My friend has an old Honda that he says I can use if I can get it insured. So I ring up Carole Nash, and explain the details. They say that I can only have riding other bikes on my policy from day one, and apparently I refused it (bullshit) and they cant add another bike to my policy unless i'm the registered owner and keeper. They only say I might be able to be added to his policy as a named rider, but as he has a GSXR on the same policy, thats going to be expensive.
Any ideas what I can do? Cheers

tl;dr: Want to be insured to ride another bike over winter, Carole Nash being arseholes about it.

Check the quotes with a different company and see how cheaply you can get it.

maybe check your policy wording to see where it says you refused riding other bikes. If it doesn't mention you specifically refused to have it then try and contest it?

If not leave them and go with some one that will help you Thumbs Up

Same thing happened to me.

Although they didn't say I refused it but I didn't specifically ask for it. It could not be added to my policy either, best they could offer was to cancel my policy and give me a new policy that included it at an increased premium.

Although I pointed out that third party cover for other vehicles had been standard on every bike and car policy I have had for the last 30 years, that didn't cut any ice with them.

So I can't offer any help but I did say to them that I would take every opportunity I could to tell others what wankers Carole Nash are.

Now I know others will post that they have had no problems with Carole Nash.

However I would still like to say Carole Nash are wankers Middle Finger
