Right what is the funniest thing you have heard as a excuse?

Mine has to be this - a lad here just got in trouble for no bringing in his work. He replied I forgot as my sister had a baby. So the boss rings up his mom who informs him that his sister is only eight.

Another one which was used yesterday.

Sir my portfolio got stolen by some rastafarians.

Instuctor - That's unlucky coming over the only group of portfolio stealing rastafarians in birmingham!

Whatever next.

A lad in my college group who is oftern late, the one that stands out is.

"Sorry im late, my alarm clock didn't go off and I had to go and do a crap in my mates house."

Cant remember any of his others at the moment, but there has been some classics.

Hehee last night at college was funny, we were given a sheet of questions to fill out, but I didn't have a pen so I didn't bother, was going to do it later but then he asked us for our answers Shocked

So I let others say the answers etc.. then he asked me what I had wrote?

So I said:

Quote:
Well I didn't actually write it down, but I would have written what they just said Wink

hehe

A lad was late for school one day and said it was because his budgie had got out of its cage so he couldn't open the door! Smile

The one excuse that i've used and seems to work is when teacher used to ask "where is your homework?" i used to say "i did it in my head" even if it was a 12 page history essay or exercise for maths or a visual basic program for computer studies Razz
give it a try next time Thumbs Up

Well I used to bunk off school all the time.
My best one was when I came in and the teacher asked me where I was yesterday.
I panicked and said id got gel in my eye and it stung so much I couldn't come in......top that!

I've not really had any excuses for late work etc, but one time my essay had a few bits missing from the edges of the paper. I told the truth (really) and told him my hamster ate it, but I managed to get it out of its cage before it completely went. Teacher didn't believe me, had to write it out again.
Another one I used was " Sorry sir I left it at home". When told to go and get it for the next day "Sorry sir, i'm a boarder-not going home for another week!" That makes faces go red!
Also heard "couldn't be bothered to do the essay sir" "You didn't give us any work sir"(only works on selected teachers notorious for bad memory) and a heated argument about not being given any when it is written up on the whiteboard for all to see.
No really good/funny ones though.
Pete

Hi

Best excuse I had was when asked why I was late for school I replied that I had been in a car accident on the way in. And it was true. Total lack of short term memory that day was proof of that.

All the best

Keith
