I'd go Matt black with Hot pink frame, just to be different!

nice little bikes those, are they 2t's?
id personally go with gloss black i found matt black is a bitch to keep clean although that blue does look tasty Thumbs Up

just had a closer look i see yours is a 4 stroke
the blue one above is that a stock engine on the older xtc's or is it a custom jobbie?

not as hard as you think just take your time if your doing it out doors with rattle cans make sure its not too much of a windy day otherwise the wind blows shit onto your fresh paint
just go with lots of thin layers and try keep it even make sure you allow the paint to dry fully after each layer then rub it down with some sand fine grade sand paper until its smooth
once all your paints on and your happy with it get a few coats of lacquer and again sand smooth then buff it up best way to judge youve done a good job is look at the reflection of something straight in your pans if the reflection is straight..your a pro!
its all in the prep Thumbs Up

Glad somebody's finally doing something with it. It's looking good.

I looked for that indicator, I don't think it's in my garage and I'm pretty sure it was on the bike when it left. I'll keep an eye out for it none the less.

Way too cold to be spraying anything! Hold fire until the weather picks up, then paint it over a weekend or something.

Colour wise, I don't really know. I've always been a blue bike owner so that would be my input.

Ref the primer. You do realize it's not only porous, but will also need rubbing back, and possibly re-priming before you go in for the top coat now it's been back on the bike, and used etc?

Other than that, nice work! Do love people rebuilding bikes etc. I'm a pest for stripping and fully rebuilding everything I own.
