My CPI Sprint (Taiwanese, not Chinese Wink ) has been having awful transmsion problems, causing the clutch to grind and bump Brick Wall

I have managed to get a whole new engine unit and a wealth of other parts free from the importer.

All I am wondering is if I put the old barrel, piston and head etc on the new gearbox, will I still have to do the painful 30mph run in process?

If your re-using the top end, I'd just go for a day of easy riding, just to let everything bed down again. Don't forget to re-torque the head bolts after 500 miles
