Yes as a first bike. I have to say that it is easier to ride than the 500 I did my DAS and tests on. I have no regrets in getting it at all. I did not get my licence to charge around at 100 mph all the time, just to enjoy it.

better choice as a first bike than a 600 sportsbike imho
But whatever feels right is a good choice my first bike is a VFR 800

Totally agree, did not want a 600 sports bike. I can't fault the Triple for it's feel and handling.

Looks good for a 13 year old bike. Did those come with polished wheels or has someone done that at a later date. Either way it looks awesome.

Just get some decent dry chain lube or you will spend more time cleaning them than riding it.
