GSX 550 rusty and crusty project.
Probably wasn`t thinking straight when I bought this project bike of fleabay - either that or it was beer o`clock.
Probably the biggest bike project restoration I have taken on...
I am very new on here so hello all... and please bare with me if I mess up !!
I intend to take this crusty old GSX 550 and breathe the life back into her fading soul.
I`m pretty embarrassed to put the before pictures on here as they are so bad but will be posting here throughout and hopefully by the end I will have a perfectly respectable old school Suzuki.
I do need some help with the ignition set-up and have pictures I will put up to explain my dilemma..
So here goes....
This is how it appeared on ebay and didn’t look too bad in the pictures so I took a gamble !!

A few weeks later and the bike is almost stripped. The frame is to be shotblast and powder coated in white next week. The engine is awaiting parts and gaskets.

Previous owner has done plenty of mods that I shall call Hacking !!!....
Hacking of suspension / electrics / bars / headlamp / fairings etc etc...

The suspension is of a CBR600 and all original linkages have been removed ... a top mount plate for the shocker has been welded in so I cannot change back to stock.. but I`ll go with the jacked up look I guess..
