I also don't really do pubs and clubs, especially alone, so when I found myself living in a new town, with no circle of friends and no prospect of meeting someone through work, I tried one.

It became clear, pretty rapidly, that there was far more enjoyment to be had from trolling, rather than actually meeting people; never have I seen so many neurotic desperados collected in one place!

When I did meet people (which was surprisingly often) they usually brought enough baggage to fill a forty footer and then spent the whole time berating their former partners in particular, interspersed with men in general.

The quantity of sex could've been quite good, but I was usually put off by the attitude.
