say I take a CG125 bike, get a 200cc clone engine which should be identical? Re-register bike as 200cc and hey, have a CG200 bike with usable power!

Yes/No?

Pro/Cons?

Pros

- Slightly more power

Cons

-Expensive, I bought my CM200 for £200, you'd be lucky to get the CG200 engine alone for that
-Its a chinese made engine at the end of the day
-Still a single, so again it'll not be much a power increase

I've a 200cc bike myself but shes a twin, sits at 70 easily enough but then I weigh 8 stone dripping wet which helps alot with a smaller bike.

Chinese motors are fine... they are all good as long as you look after them and change oil every 2000km... yes 2000KM.

Look after them and they'll live for a long time Smile Not as long as the honda's do anyway, but still a long time Razz

Can get you a brand new 163FML 200cc engine to fit right in for £399 delivered Smile

Bit of an old thread i know, but i completed a 200cc swap in my CG125 and it was a great improvement, loads more grunt and better top speed with a change of geaing.

I have a 200cc CG style engine for sale atm if anyone fancies it.
