only just noticed when changing my address on my license that my photo card shows A and my counterpart shows A2 what the hell does that mean?

counterpart shows A2 dated 2006 photocard shows A dated 2008 really confused and with 3DLD coming in soon dont want to end up with A2 as a ride a 1250 Very Happy

That's correct.

The A2 on your counterpart is listed under "Previous Entitlements". this refers to when you were restricted to 33bhp.

Your licence is perfectly normal, do not fear!

It's fine, the mongs at the DVLA have been recording previous "A<=25kW" entitlement as "A2" for years.

When I asked about this, they admitted that there's no such license class, but they had/have no plans to change it, because fuck you, that's why. To paraphrase slightly.

I've no idea what they'll do when there is a real A2 category to record. Maybe "Real A2"? Wink

its only with new licenses coming out i was worried really, because if i get stuck with A2 on new stuff im fucked Very Happy
