we spent most of the day on the water going up the vaal river

Nice for some, looks nice there!

I rode my bike all of 4 miles to my fathers to remove a snapped calliper bolt that we couldn't get out so he's taken the calliper to work to remove it there. Bike-less for a week or so Sad

That is why you need 2 bikes Mr. Green

I had lamb chops and a bottle of wine which survived the trip on the back.

why? some men have cages and 4 wheels, so why cant you have 2 x 2 wheels? It is also 4 wheels and cheaper than a cage Mr. Green

Didn't ride my bike much this weekend, too busy playing with the three-wheeler.

I went for a short ride out (about an hour) to meet my mate from Hampshire... it was a better way to catch up over a hot coffee, rather than staying home and spending an hour on the phone. Cool

Today was my longest run out yet - south Birmingham to lovely Bridgnorth and back via halfpenny green airfield. I've only been on two wheels for less than eight weeks so I feel I achieved something today!

Over 100 miles Saturday.
First went to Castleton via the Peak District, almost reaching Sheffield in the meantime. I was following friend, who was following his sat nav, which was set to his new girlfriend's postcode in Sheffield Confused

Brilliant biking road this one, awesome scenery:

https://goo.gl/maps/eAXNz

Then in the evening went to see another friend at the other end of Manchester, and back. Got a bit drizzly around 8pm as I was heading home, but it helped prove my kevlar jeans are drizzle-proof Thumbs Up

Today we headed up to the Yorkshire moors, and reached Hebden Bridge just as it was starting to rain - pretty hard.

We stopped here:

https://goo.gl/maps/TLS0l

and here:

https://goo.gl/maps/cOuH7

There were ice cream vans stationed at both places - WTF Laughing
I'd much rather a bacon butty van instead.

I went out today for a bit of a spin.
Called in at J&S Watford just to have a browse and annoy the staff then made my way over to St Albans to ride slowly through the high street for maximum poseage before heading back through Harpenden, again riding slowly.
Made my way back through Luton and over to Hitchin so that I could do the Hitchin to Barton road.
Had a lot of fun teaching some dick-head in a Corsa VXR how to accelerate. Twisted Evil
Took some pics along the way.

Had some family over this weekend and he brought his GSX 750 with him.
He`s only just got it MOT`d and taxed/insured so was keen to get out for a spin.
I could`nt let him down even if it was BLOODY cold Smile , so we had a spin out to Bury-St-Edmunds from Ipswich, (26 miles each way)
We went early-ish to beat the crowds.
However, even though the sun was shining and bright, the roads were frozen and you could feel the slippage under the tyres, so no major blasting!.

That said, I was glad I got out for a little spin, it cleared the cob-webs out Thumbs Up

Went to a bike auto-jumble on Sunday and got a few bits for the Jawa Smile , an original manual in english, resistor-less plug caps, and a 6v horn, I spent all of £15.

I helped a friend who was recently knocked off her bike back onto hers and rode around with her for a bit to get her confidence up.

At first she was set on giving it up, confidence being a real issue, now she feels a lot better about it and might reconsider selling the bike.

Went to the coast with a few mates for fish and chips, swapped with my mate for his Fazer 600 for the ride back Thumbs Up ( bike just makes 120 seem *right* Twisted Evil ).

Was going to go camping but couldn't be bothered freezing my ass off and having to hose the bike down for Monday after slogging through several plowed fields.

We went in our non-bike ( Sad ) to Tate St Ives for their kids sunday. We took some friends with us. It was perfectly legal and our ickle car did not look like this. . .

https://i1.tribune.com.pk/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/World-Record-19-student-in-small-car-Hassaan-Khan-express1-640x480.jpg

Embarassed

Himself and co did their own bit of a big wall mural, a badge each, disruption drawings, their own sculptures and (while i was looking at something) moved one of the pieces of a massive sculpture made of lots of precisely cut and meticulously placed bricks Shocked I put it back and no one noticed so apparently i'm a Tate standard artist. I felt i earned my bit of cake overlooking Porthmeor beach Very Happy

Swinley Forest, on the leg powered 2 wheeler. The trails were exceptionally muddy and it wasn't long before me and my mate wished we'd taken the Z and Blade out instead.
