simple question


will a 97 SR 125 custom engine go in too a 92 SR 125 custom with no issues

a friend bought a SR 125 and it was delivered too him via courier ....being a moron he then got a friend too help him bump start it not checking if it had been transported dry .....it had.
He ran the thing with no oil in it....


basically he got it running went for a 15 min ride and now it wont start

i said its probably gonna be less hassle too just dump a running engine in it and keep the other for spares

i have found him a 97 engine for the right money but need too know if its a straight swap

engines generally remain the same but you must also have a look a t wiring diagrams to see if there are differences with the wiring looms.


not possible been looking online and there is little relevant information which is a first Sad .
no shops in the area have a 97 sr 125 for me too check too see if the engines are the same .

all i have found out so far is the 2002 one definitely does not work as the ignition system is different
