I'd say white but perhaps with some kind of decal or even just a plain black backing as if you were going to put white numbers on it? It's the shape more than the colour that I don't like about the black headlight.

I have had the white headlight on the bike for a fair few years now,ever since the race regs called for a high/low beam unit to be fitted for an enduro,instead of the standard single beam unit.

But it is getting a bit dated now and as a friend had the black unit surplus to requirements and gave it to me I thought that I would see how it looks.

I am not taken by the black unit either Rolling Eyes

Use the black one and paint it white then. They are basically identical other than colour.
