Personally i've never been pulled, just wondering if it's more common in different areas or maybe the type of bike being ridden?

5 times.

Once on my scooter for having only 1 L plate on.

Once on the RS125 for riding through a public pathway

Once on my TS50 For filtering dangerously (also had no tax but they didnt notice!)

Twice on My cbr250, both times outside college, one was for 'reckless driving' And the other was by a policeman on foot who said my bike was too loud!

Never been done for anything though.

Twice for speeding - fluttered my eyelashes and got away with it both times (they couldn't prove it!).

Once for a small numberplate.

Once for feeding down the middle of a traffic jam on the motorway.

Got a ticket for a bald tyre years ago when I had no dosh - it was down to the canvas!!

Once for having a mate on the back with L plates on.

Once for having L plates on the Motorway.

Once for riding on the wrong side of the road in France - I thanked them for that one though!

Once for popping the exhaust in a tunnel.

Oh yeah, twice for speeding in a car, but that probably doesn't count on this forum does it?

Nope, never. But then I never do anything wrong Whistle .
I've even GMKD in front of a police car, the two coppers inside didn't seem bothered in the slightest, in fact they seemed quite amused (well they had sly grins on their faces anyway).

Twice Neutral.

Once for not having my lights on at night.... they actually helped me to look for the problem when I kindly explained that my lights had gone out at the same time that all the rest of the electrics konked out and the engine stopped running, thus I was coasting to a stop.

Other time for going a little too fast on the M4.

Ok... danny has pointed out there was the incident in my avatar (thanks korn :roll) ...
Doing a wheelie away from people/bikes in Boxhill carpark.
I'd park'd up and was sitting around when the pig came over, so dunno if it would be classified as such.

Also had a friendly chat with a policeman in a car when I was on the way to work on one wheel... again no one around, but he was a bit more reasonable than the one at Boxhill.

Been stopped 3 times now I think.

First time was broken down on the m4 bus lane. Although I'm not entierly sure I should have been there with my old type of license. Wink

Second time I got 3 points from a not very nice copper.

Third time a friendly bike copper let me off after being a little over enthusiastic on the bike.

I used to get pulled regularly when driving my 1st car. Probably because I was immature and drove it round as though I'd stolen it.

I soon calmed down after receiving 3 pts (13 days after passing).

Though it was too late, car was blacklisted and was pulled whenever it was sighted. So I let my mum borrow the car for a week and she gave the police hassle Laughing she can be mean!

Never on the ped tho. Had a funny look as I swerved around an unmarked police car and shook my head but they were in the bus/bike lane so couldn't really pull me over as they were in the wrong.

Been pointed at but often they don't bother as its always rush hour traffic I'm in and it would be too much hassle for them to get through the so many cars i've already filtered.

Just the once for me, it was my very first time riding the new bike, and in my nervous state 'accidentally' forgot to put the side stand up. So it's a good thing they did really since I would of had a left coming up Embarassed .

Twice. First time was for doing 43 in a 30 in my car right outside my own house. Had been in the car for 30 seconds. Confused Got 3 points and £60 fine. Been a good boy since then.

2nd time was last week for having a small numberplate on the bike. Got pulled over by a police bike. Knew he was going to come after me the minute I seen him. Seemed like a nice guy and talked about bikes for a bit with me while letting me off as long as I changed the plate within 7 days. I've just left the proper sized one on now. No need for the small one really.

Hi

Not for quite a while. Got pulled over loads of times when I lived in Portsmouth for "just a routine check", and got pulled over a fair few times when I lived in Nottingham (including being accused of racing when I was doing about 40mph in a queue of traffic Rolling Eyes ).

All the best

Keith

Only the once, was overtaking a car on a dual carriageway at about 50 in a 40 when I noticed a police bike sitting at a junction, slowed down and got into the left hand lane and noticed another police bike further up the road. At this point I thought I'd be cocky and turn down a side street, he followed me down the side street and pulled me over in the next street.

He was an ok copper though, never mentioned the sports can and offered me advise on how to fix the crack I had in my fairing at the time, got a producer and they never mentioned 33bhp. Cool

i havn't voted because i havn't been pulled on the bike!

But i've been pulled twice in the car (speeding and inconsiderate/dangerous driving) and had a lovely policeman wait for me to hand over a fine for leaving the car slightly overhanging a pedestrian crossing!

Once for a "your exhaust sounds loud" speach, however he didn't do anything about it thank god.
Once for a snapped rear L plate and a missing front one. (3 points and 60 squid)
Once because I was with a mate on a knakered old bike who got pulled, he had no L plates, no rear brake lever, Smashed up panels, missing indicators and a blockage in his fuel line casuing him to go from 30 down to 5 mph every few hundred meters. He blagged it somehow. Very Happy

Dave

Never in 18months of riding, and 2 years of driving.
My brother got pulled for having his front for fog lights on in town, dad's been done for speeding, and my friend got pulled on her 50cc ped, cus as the coppa put it:
"it smells funny."

Never, in my two years of riding (well nearly two years, CBT runs out in Aug) first year on a Speedfight II, second year riding my TW125.
And I have only ever seen one other biker pulled over in my area, and that was because as he left a roundabout he decided to relieve his front wheel of the weight it was carrying.
