hi there,

not usually my kettle of fish but i have an aprilia sr 125 belonging to my mate sat at my house. it conked out the other day after we thought it had run out of fuel, after checking the electrics the wire from the ignition coil to the cdi unit was chaffed and snapped which i replaced with some new wire. bike still has no spark but when touching the ht lead it gives me a nice shock Very Happy ...
tried trimming a bit of the ht lead and reconnecting cap but didnt work

im guessing it needs a new coil/lead/cap?

also with it running out of fuel will it automatically run through or does it need priming in any way? plug is dry but smell of fuel from exhaust...

its a 2001 aprilia sr 125, which is carbed

edit: before anybody thinks im a total retard, yes i have filled it with fuel lol
