Yep I'm gnna buy another helmet all black including the visor.
Just wondering how much would it cost to airbrush this at the back? Or is there another cheaper alternative, which could withstand the typical rainy day in england.

https://i47.tinypic.com/k9w3kp.jpg

^^This is the image i want, IM BEING SERIOUS. I just think it would be a funny design for my helmet when riding my bike on the road also whilst racing karts during none msa events.

so you want a blacked out visor?

you do know that there are legal issues right?

also, airbrushing cost depends on where/who does the job.

I have a black helmet with a black visor. Never been an issue and I regularly see police vehicles on my commute.

Also the police officer who stopped me and paddy on the IOW didn't mention it either.

OP, why get it airbrushed? That'll be stupidly expensive. Get a sticker instead.

HJC ZF-10.

Okay helmet. It seems to whistle a bit which can get annoying.

https://www.lidsdirect.co.uk/hjc-zf-10-black-5.html

The HJC logo on the front is a sticker, I just peeled it off. Then I bought the black visor on eBay for about £15.

Get a vinyl sticker. It'll be a LOT cheaper, and probably safer...

I think he was referring more as to how some paints can weaken the structural integrity of the helmet, thus reducing your protection. Smile

I've recently come across a shop that does this airbrushing contraption business thing, on helmets and motorcycles..
It is on ebay though within the...West midlands to London area, last i recall...fella.

Towards the Black Visor..

I HAVE RIDDEN AT NIGHT WITH AN IRIDIUM VISOR..
(i took a nap at the besties place and forgot to pack the clear visor, completely forgetting it gets dark earlier when the chilly seasons come)

I will tell you, it IS bloomin' scary.. FUN but very bloomin' unpredictable especially when going under tunnels, nonetheless it gives me opportunity to stare at foolish drivers brushing their teeth or the occasional nice looking woman without it being obvious and weird.

What? i'm a bloke on a motorcycle.. it is my responsibility to enjoy this hue of scenery..

If you get caught out at night with a black visor then I really would suggest riding with the visor up, not down!

I find that at night it makes seeing pedestrians impossible even though I can see the road just fine.

Always try and have a clear visor if you're riding at night. Smile

Hey hey i rode with the visor up... most of the time..

though when it was down, i honestly couldn't help humming the old batman tune to myself, luckily i always have my highvis arm bands with me when the black visor is connected to the lid Smile

Police won't do you for a black visor these days. Don't think I've seen a sports bike rider without one to be fair!

As for the face, it's not exactly worth airbrushing that, might as well get a vinyl cut out and stick it on.

I'd get that vinyl cut or get quotes from signwriters on ebay. There are some that print the design onto a transparent vinyl transfer so it could be well worth a shout asking around ebay sellers.

This ebay seller for example - studio sticker... I've sent a load of the BCF boys and girls there for simoncelli stickers, I'm sure if you send him the design to get a quote (with sizing) and state that you want to stick the troll face on the outside of your helmet, he can do you a good deal.

Here's the link to one of his auctions so that you can see what sort of vinyl sticker i'm talking about

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Marco-Simoncelli-Moto-GP-Car-Sticker-Ciao-SIC-58-PROCEEDS-TO-CHARITY-TYP3-/251179383434?pt=UK_Sports_Memorabilia_ET&hash=item3a7b753a8a

I've got his stickers on the outside surfaces of my celica and they have lasted me a good year in all sorts of weather

Vinyls aren't too difficult to apply yourself, as long as you apply sufficient heat to them to alloy the design to conform to the contours of your helmet. If the rear of your lid is relatively flat, then you shouldn't really need much heat, but if it's convex, you might need to do a little bit of trimming etc.

Here's one I did earlier (when I resprayed my spare shoei a year ago) - Total cost of respray and transfer - £15!

Well i hope Monster has been replaced by a close encounter with Freddy Crugar, or if they were green, it would be the nice alien from V.

Yeah this, why stick a stupid internet meme on your helmet in the attempt to make a 'joke' at people you pass?
just doesn't seem very mature,
