Hi I wonder if anyone can help me on this one? I have a zx6r j1 it keeps on blowing the ignition fuse and now it’s only running on 3, im not getting a spark to number 3 and my cdi unit is getting warm, I have changed the wiring loom and a tried a different cdi unit also different coil’s.
Now im completely stumped and was wondering if anyone has come across this before and can offer some advise
Many thanks for you time
Jeff

Have you checked your HT leads, one of them might be knackered, try swapping them around if they will reach.

If it keeps blowing the ignition fuse you might have an earthing problem somewhere, make sure all the wires are in good condition and are not shorting out on the frame, etc. If all that is okay, then you may have a faulty ignition.

It may be worth checking the alternator isn't putting out too much charge.
