Isn't YBR naked already? What else do you want to do with it? Eh?

Well, a good start would be to acquire a bike that actually has some road presence. Turning a YBR 125 into a streetfighter is akin to trying to make Jedward into cage fighters. It simply won't work to any convincing degree.

Do test, sell YBR in stock condition for top dollar, buy big old bike that you can alter to your tastes accordingly.

He's got renthal bars and a nonstock exhaust, there's nothing streetfighter about it Rolling Eyes

Also the nonstock exhaust probably sounds retarded and gives him worse MPG and performance, I very much doubt his ECU has been tuned for it or whatever

also renthal bars are wider than stock form what i've heard, so it's harder to filter, not much of a streetfighter unless you count beating up people's wingmirrors

I'm pretty sure it'd come up if you used the search function.

However as basic google/ebay searches appear to be beyond you i dont hold out a lot of hope for you finding the search bar, let alone actually finding the thread in question.

Nah only a nob would do that Rolling Eyes Laughing Wink

But no, seriously, it's good stuff
it's the first thread that comes up when you search for YBR Rolling Eyes

Shame all the pics are broke Mad

The noob post checklist
Arrow Title all in caps
Arrow Poor grammar
Arrow Inability or too ignorant to use google and/or ebay
Arrow Wants to make a 125 cooler or quicker without passing tests or any mechanical knowledge

STREET-FIGHTER:- Genre of 'custom' motorcycle, created from taking one crashed sports-bike; removing all the damaged 'stuff'; usually the fairings, handle-bars, head-lamo, indicators, mudguard, footrests etc; and replacing with whatever is lying around the shed from other old bikes, and then filling in any gaps with gash after-market accessories that are sold 'cheap' in the M&P catalogue.

So, the start of your quest is to, go crash..... then... oh, hang on, its a not a sports-bike, it doesn't have any fairings, or clip-ons..... oh, well, in THAT case you will have to do it the other way and do a

CAFE-RACER:- Genre of custom motorcycle, originating in the 1960's, taking a street 'standard' motorcycle, and making it more 'sporty' emulating the style of then current race-bikes. replacing seat unit for a solo seat, swapping handlebars for lower 'ace-bars' and fitting rearset footrest hangers. In modern times, it has become a cliche for taking a clapped out old heap of a comuter bike with a ripped seat cover, and rather than re-trimming the seat, and replacing & repainting old body-work, to simply stick it all in the bin, for the 'strip-down' look. Turning handl-bars upside down to mimick clip-ons or Ace-bars, and putting a piecve of MDF covered with vinyl on the seat rails, that may be cut-off where they are too long, then painting everything that is red rusty with matt-black, anything that ought to be shiney with hamerite gold, and wrapping the exhaust with old hessian potatoe sacks.

Ergo:- if it ent broke, dont fix it!

Use the thing as intended. Its a brilliant learner-commuter. Use it to learn on and commute, and if you DONT like the way it looks or performs, use that as insentive to get a full licence to qualify you to trade the bugger in for 'full' value as a standard machine, for something that is probably cheaper from the big-bike world that you DO like the looks or performance of.

NOTHING looks 'good' with an L-Plate, mate.

Oh yeah, I forgot that projects that real "Hardened biker" image and "badass attitude" which is required for streetfighters.

I've got lower bars on my YBR, but that was to make it more comfortable for me and I can see in the mirrors better too.

The definition of street-fighter has changed so much from what I thought it to be.

This is my street-fighter bike:
https://sphotos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/282363_438060082895627_1045627335_n.jpg

It looks pretty standard.

I crashed it in to a van and then fixed it as cheaply as possible. Did I scrap/replace the fairings? Nope! I taped them back together. Did I replace the bars? Yes, with the cheapest fitting ones that I could find. The exhaust is damaged, did I replace that? Nope, it still works!

I always thought a street-fighter bike to be one that's been put back on the road for as little £ as possible. Not something that's perfectly find that you spend money on to make it look like it's been crashed.

I missed one from the checklist

Arrow Flounces when everyone lays into them for being lazy and stupid

And by that logic, my YBR was a streetfighter, it had been crashed enough times and the sidepanels, headlight and clocks were held together by ducttape

On a brighter note, got my insurance cheque through the post, £1000 for the bike Cool

No, that's a rat. Or just "a bike I fixed cheap".

My bike's a streetfighter, if I do "down right punch" it fires hayoukens Cool
Or if I crouch down and repeatedly punch it becomes electrified.

God i'm bored.

Things I hate about streetfighters
Arrow Stupid sky high tails
Arrow Stupid plastic skull masks on the front (rarely done well, have seen it done well on here though)
Arrow The desire to butcher a bike and call it a streetfighter for no good reason

Next?
