Once again my bike needs new tyres, i put an 010 on the rear about 2 months ago, and now i'm left with no tread at all Confused .

The front needs replacing too, so was thinking about changing to 207rrs front and back, or should i stick with the 010's Question .

I know a lot of people have a lot of praise for the 010, but it hasn't lasted me long.

PS. Any other suggestions of tyres?

Hornet has a 120 front and 180 rear.

Thanks

i personally would try to keep the same tyres on the front and rear, as different tyres may equal different compounds of rubber resulting in different levels of wear etc.

try using and 010 on the front and an 020 on the rear Thumbs Up

the 020 is a slightly harder wearing rubber compound than the 010...but the compounds aren't to far apart and so shouldn't cause any problems

What sort of mileage are you doing?

I put 010s on my bike last... June I think. Had 2 trackdays, loads of motorway miles, commuting and and a fair bit of arsing about out of them and there's still plenty left.

Averaging about 1000 miles a month Confused . My dad can get me Tyres cheaper, and last time the rear 010 was £100 fitted. Are 207rr's more expensive,, same goes with 020's.

Thanks

You must be really hard on your tires.
My Hornet has bt56s and had the front replaced after 2600 miles, cus there was damage to the wall but plenty of tread left, the rear I will replace next week (With 3500 miles on it) cus the last owner squared it off quite badly but I didn’t know what I was looking for when I bought it.

I had a rear 010 on my NC30 that was almost on the wear limiter by 3000 miles, quite dissapointing Confused Especially as the front 090 was easily out lasting it.

I hope not! Just put 010's on front and rear! I don't do burn outs......I guess that helps?!? Laughing

Havent done a single burnout, i guess its because of all the hard accelerating and harsh braking, couple of wheelies as well Embarassed .

But thats going to stop.

Im thinking about 207rr's up front and rear.

Or 010 up front and 020 at the rear, which is the best combination?

Thanks
